This amazing man is one of the most committed,
respectable, trustworthy, disciplined,
intelligent, talented, gifted
men I know!
What a blessing the Lord has given me
by letting me marry and live life with such a man!!
Just two weeks ago we celebrated 8 years of marriage.
I wouldn't trade a day!
So I thought I'd write up a lil' of what he's been up to.
In April he blew me away
by how well he re-entered the life of a student,
completing his CNA course with a 100% "grade"
and then getting hired immediately.
He works a few days a week,
from 3pm to 11pm,
while balancing all his other duties.
In fact- that's where he is as I write this!
In the midst of his busy-ness and responsibilities,
he finds time to intentionally father his children.
He spent an afternoon setting up a camping tent in the yard,
playing with Taylor in and around it,
...and even had a little tea party with her in the middle of the tent!
When he needs a rest
he will often put a baseball game on tv.
Taylor knows that it's Daddy's favorite thing to watch! =)
Go Orioles!
Grandpa even got a special TV package
that includes games from around the country
so Greg gets to watch his Orioles play =)
He also got to play on the church Men's League Softball Team.
We laughed when we realized how few weeks there are to a season...
as he used to play year 'round in California!
And... they won the championship!
When he had to study for his summer courses:
Anatomy & Phisiology Part 1 or College Algebra (online course)
he would leave the house.
This was such a wise choice!
It meant that when he was home
he was truly available to the kids and to me.
He made the effort to read, play, giggle, wrestle, tickle...
and truly be with his family.
I am so thankful!
We are also thankful to Great Grandpa Robbie and Grandma Peggy
because they allowed Greg to study in their basement
so that he had a quiet place to retreat
and completely focus on his studies
so he could return to us ready to hang out.
And I have such wonderful news to tell you!
He officially earned a solid A in both of those courses!
And now he's on "break" for three weeks!
We are SO enjoying him home during the day!!
So what does Daddy do?
He keeps us together like glue!
