O.A.M.

...November Once A Monther...

Here we are...
a seemingly happy, healthy family

But tonight we're not quite so healthy,
although we hope we haven't lost too much of our "happy"

Tay is a sickie.
She has a fever,
has been battling stinky diaper blow outs,
and has a cough from all the snot she's ingesting.

Pray with us that she gets better sooner than later!

Mommy is stayin' home with Tay tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to it, actually.
I'm hoping to get two loads of laundry
(a much loftier goal than one might expect)
as well as some"put the kitchen back together"
time while Tay sleeps, naps, etc.
We'll see what my sickie lil' love bug allows.

Would you pray for lil' Tay to get better?
Would you also pray for my mom?
She has recovered quite well from her surgery,
but her back is REALLY bad,
and she's been immobile.

And...
That's all,
cuz I hear my lovebug stirring.
Gotta go get her.
G'night!

October O.A.M.

Once.A.Monther
October 2010

As you can see,
Taylor doesn't always look at the camera.
Especially when no one is behind the camera...

Try #1
As you can also see...
Taylor has developed a "camera smile"!
Try #2

I'm assuming that the next several years
we will be battling that toothy camera grin
in order to try to get a "real" smile!

O.A.M. September 2010

O.A.M.
Once a Monther

Here's our Fam Pic of
September 2010!

I couldn't decide between these two,
cuz Taylor looks kinda cute in both,
so I thought I'd give you a gander at two shots =)
I know I promised the o.a.m. near the beginning of the month,
and as I realized we are already on the 12th,
I concluded that the "early" part of the month
was nearly gone,
so I had
better get on that!

We have had a lot of fun with Tay these days.
She's into playing tag
which is just too much fun.
Or maybe it's more like hide-and-seek.
If one of us crawls away from her
(yes, we have permission to act like fools
and crawl on our hands and knees--
we're parents
!)
and then hides behind a corner or a door,
she'll come crawling after us,
singing a little tune,
and then giggle when she finds us.
Too fun!

As far as sleep-
thanks for praying for us.
It's gotten better,
but it's not "done" getting better yet...
She's still up twice each night,
-at least-
and has to be soothed in order to go back to sleep.

Speaking of bed...
our apartment building has
BEDBUGS
ewwww!
Meaning our neighbors have bed bugs
and we're paranoid beyond belief
that we're gonna get them too...

So, that also means
we haven't done any laundry
for two week and a half weeks
cuz we don't wanna dump our clothes and sheets
in the machines that are washing bed-bug-ridden clothes,
and our complex uses a shared laundry room...

So today we're making a day of laundry.
We're going to go spend the afternoon at a laundry mat.
Whew!
I'll bet we do 7 or 8 loads today!!

So far,
we haven't heard that the bed bugs have spread to any more apts.
It has been kept contained in the three that originally had it.
But we're still hopin' we don't get them.
Manager said that if it doesn't take care of itself
with these three fumigations she's doing,
then eventually they'll make the decision
that we have to TENT the building...
and we'd have to stay in a hotel or something.

We'll see if it goes that far!

Okay,
gonna go sort some laundry!

Have a great week!

Have you missed it at all?

"The end of an era"
someone might say
cuz there was nothing there
to see on the blog last Friday
nor was there something
the Friday before
and that's cuz, you see,
there will be no more
Friday Fam Fotos
at least for a while
for these three Hickle bozos
who so often smiled
for the weekly update
on the Hickle Fam blog
but now feel quite tired
bogged down like a log
plus none of us are growing
as fast as we were
when pregnant, bloating
newborn or toddler
so instead of a weekly
snapshot of the fam
we will uniquely
begin the o.a.m.
which now will stand for
"Once a monther"
which is quite a bit more
managable for this mother.
All that to say
look for the next image
on an early September day
from our Fullerton village
of the Hickles Three
whom all send you our love
to you and your family
...that's the last rhyme I can think of
