The Woman: Sharon Lee

Mom,

You are lovely inside and out.
You are a gift I can't imagine living without.
You are caring, loving, sharing, growing
You are deep, wise, forgiveness flowing
You are my friend and supporter throughout
You are the best mother for me, no doubt

I am blessed because you pursue me
I am humbled by your gifts to me
I am loved, cared for, cherished, prayed for
I am safe with nothing to be afraid for
I am a daughter of the woman God chose for me.
I am thankful, grateful, joyful, I am me
...Because of you!

Here's a tour of our relationship!

Back at the Turn of the New Year

I think back to December 2014
and it feels like a lifetime ago!
My sweet husband coordinated with my folks
and got me a ticket for Christmas,
to fly to California
for a quick five day trip (with no kids!)

Hanging out with Caleb & Nancy, Mom & Dad,

and then both sides of the family!
We spent a few days with my Dad's folks,

and then we went to my Mom's folks'.

We brought in the New Year 2015
with a Hillis & Friends Family Feud Party!
Love it!

Generations of Joy

About an hour before Mom, Aunt Joan and G&G Hillis
hit the road, we went up to the Billings Rims
to take a few fun pictures.

It was a cloudy and blustery day,
but we still got some great photos!

Can you find our house?

Road Trippers

(Consider yourself warned- this is a PICTURE-FUL post!)

We had a set of very special visitors last week!
They pulled up in their RV and we hit the ground running!

I love these guys!
We took them up to Red Lodge for a quick visit.
And, of course, we enjoyed lunch at Bogart's!
It's one of our must-haves!

Great Gramma read us a few new stories!
Thanks Aunt Joan for all the new books!!

The kids greatly enjoyed reconnecting!
It didn't take long for them to feel right at home!
I'm so grateful for technology at times like these,
cuz it makes them already feel close
to someone that lives so very many miles away!

 We fit into two cars,
So Mom and I chatted our way all the way to Red Lodge
(carting Spiderman and his siblings in the back!)

After lunch in town,
Greg took the kiddos to the cabin for naps,
Grandpa went with him as he was tired from all the driving,
and the ladies poked around town!
It rained a little, so Gramma kept her sweatshirt on her head.

We stopped to enjoy a cup-o'-jo to warm up!

The sun poked his head up a little later.

When in Red Lodge,
one MUST go for a walk...
or two or three!

The kiddos went down to the river with Buela and Aunt Joan
and threw many-a-pebble into the water!

(That dog is a neighbor's dog
and followed us everywhere we went!)

 Take a deep breath
and imagine you're here!
Incredible, right?

More walkin'

Both Aunt Joan and Grandpa
warmed well by Greg's Championship Softball Sweatshirts!

A boy and his Great Grandpa...

Grandpa loves old buildings

Buela brought Jacob his own monkey-backpack!
He wore it ALL WEEKEND and loves to give it hugs.

 More and more rock-throwing

LOVELY PEOPLE
and so glad I get to call them family!

Photo-op!

A new favorite pic!

As mentioned before,
this dog followed us everywhere we went!
We're not sure if she's expecting
or just really REALLY really fat,
but Mom thought she'd dress up like her!

Cabin fun!
(Thanks Uncle Jay and Aunt Barb!
We had a BLAST and have you to thank!)

When did my kids get so big?

 These are my people!
What a heritage!!

 The big group of us!
I feel so blessed!!

And here's a few pics from our trek around Wild Bill Lake!

I can't express my gratefulness
that we got to show some of this beautiful home
to some of our California family!
Thanks for coming!
